BEST PRACTICE DELIVERS

The Website Benchmarks™ project was formed to gather information about best practice in web site design from a commercial perspective.
There are numerous sites giving helpful technical advice about HTML, MySQL, Java and a whole host of exciting web technologies. However, in consulting with our clients we found that many asked us "what are the basic requirements for a good web site?" We then outlined the requirements and started to benchmark their sites against these requirements. The results varied from excellent to poor.
We also want to know what other people think, hence the survey, which is designed to keep up with current commercial trends.
The principals behind Website Benchmarks are:
Malcolm Holden - Managing Director of Six Sigma Ltd
Malcolm is a Chartered Accountant, Honours Graduate of Leeds University and has a diploma in Business Excellence. Malcolm worked for a £3 billion turnover multinational for 20 years, holding various senior positions, including Director of Finance and Company Secretary.

Michael Bullard - Managing Director of Accuvista Ltd
Michael is a publishing executive with over 20 years experience of developing and managing information services that enable customers to make informed buying decisions. He has a BA(Hons) in Chemistry from the University of York.
