COLUMBIA, Mo. 鈥 榴莲视频, a nationwide construction equipment rental and technology solutions company, announced Nov. 3 that it is expanding its corporate headquarters. The expansion will create more than 500 jobs.

鈥溋窳悠碘檚 new headquarters is a major development for Columbia and great news for our state,鈥 said Gov. Mike Parson, who visited the Home Office for the announcement. 鈥淭his innovative company is creating jobs, investing in its community and having a nationwide impact. We鈥檙e proud to see 榴莲视频 expanding and look forward to its continued success here in central Missouri.鈥

Since brothers Jabbok and Willy Schlacks started the business in 2014 and incorporated in 2015, 榴莲视频 has grown rapidly in size and scope. Originally imagined as a way for contractors to save money by sharing heavy machinery, it has evolved into a company that is modernizing the construction business through jobsite technology and equipment rental, retail and service.

榴莲视频 now has more than 140 branches across the country, but Columbia remains home, and the expansion announcement reinforces the company鈥檚 commitment to Missouri.

鈥淲e look forward to continuing to expand our company here in Columbia, Missouri,鈥 Jabbok Schlacks said. 鈥淲hen you鈥檙e able to start something really special in your hometown, you want it to grow there. We started with five people, and we鈥檝e grown to more than 3,600. We appreciate the Midwest work ethic 鈥 that drive and grit you don鈥檛 see in a lot of places. We want to work with great people. The 榴莲视频 campus is something everyone in this state can be proud of. Community matters. Investing in our people matters. We鈥檙e grateful our story will continue to grow with Columbia at its center.鈥

One of the company鈥檚 key differentiators and a driver of its explosive growth is the T3 operating system that is available in the equipment it rents and sells. The cloud-connected T3 platform allows contractors to monitor every aspect of their machinery鈥檚 usage and make data-driven decisions.

The company鈥檚 new headquarters will include a flagship office building, a research-and-development center, a learning-and-development center, and additional space for offices and retail. The building space will eventually be more than 10 times the size of the current headquarters. 榴莲视频鈥檚 expansion will create more than 500 new positions with salaries above the Boone County average, and the local economic impact will extend well beyond the walls of the new facilities.

鈥淲hen we talk about 500 new employees, we鈥檙e also talking about hundreds more who support those people and will benefit from this,鈥 Boone County Presiding Commissioner Dan Atwill said at the announcement ceremony.

Construction on the expanded campus, located just south of I-70 near the Lake of the Woods exit on the east edge of Columbia, will be done in phases, with groundbreaking scheduled in the next few months.
